About CTL

Charles Thompson Ltd (CTL) is a process plant design and manufacture specialist serving industries including petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, agro chemical, fine chemical, utilities and nuclear.

Based in South Yorkshire, the traditional heart of the UK’s steel manufacturing industry, Charles Thompson works with clients all around the world.

We have three process plant design and manufacture facilities in the UK, all in South Yorkshire: our main works facility for process plant equipment is in Kilnhurst, Mexborough. We have additional facilities at our Bridge Works and Ecclesfield site in Sheffield, which focus on pressure vessels, heat exchangers, filtration equipment, pipework systems and packaged process systems equipment. CTL Seal is our centre for bespoke fabrications, heavy precision machining and lifting equipment.
