Re-tubing & Repairs

Charles Thompson will re-tube and repair heat exchangers that have corroded or failed in service. The following services are available on site for shell and tube heat exchanger repairs:

  • DPI, UT, MPI, radiography, PMI
  • Water jet cleaning
  • Machining services for the initial removal of tubes and tube sheets
  • Machining service for the final machining of exchangers after repair
  • Tube pulling
  • Tube expansion
  • Iris testing
  • Eddy current testing
  • Hydrostatic pressure testing
  • Full mechanical destructive testing can be carried out on material samples
